Our Purpose
Improve health, safety and performance by acting on real work.
Youkonseil supports companies and organisations — industry, maritime, tertiary — by combining ergonomics (work situations, tools, interfaces, environments) and psychology (cooperation, management, team dynamics, decision-making).
Our approach is centred on reality: understand what is done day to day, why it works (or breaks down), then co-build with teams adapted, concrete and applicable solutions to reduce risks and improve working conditions as a whole.
Three sectors, one shared standard
Contexts differ, but challenges overlap: preserve health and improve performance by acting on people, organisation and technology.
Youkonseil intervenes with a stable methodology, adapted to your constraints.
Industry & Tertiary
- Workstation and workshop layout and design
- MSD prevention (Musculoskeletal Disorders: physical strain, occupational wear, load handling, repetitiveness)
- PSR prevention (Psychosocial Risks: work-related suffering, organisation, social climate, management)
- Organisational analysis and change management
- HMI analysis (Human-Machine Interface)
Maritime
- Ergonomic analysis of workspaces (navigation bridge, engine control room, layouts)
- MSD prevention, occupational wear
- Psychosocial risk prevention (communication between departments, hierarchical relationships, mediation, conflict management, onboard management)
- Human factors analysis (handovers, fatigue and vigilance, impact on safety)
- Managing people in remote healthcare situations
- Managing vessel/company communication with all relevant stakeholders, critical communications, organisational reliability
Why Ergonomics + Psychology
Ergonomics
Ergonomics allows us to understand how work is actually done: work determinants, constraints, tools and interfaces, environment, work organisation, information flows. It highlights gaps between prescribed and real work, the regulations put in place by teams, and the points where errors, strain or risks are observed. It also provides a solid basis for targeting, analysing, designing or transforming work situations through the co-construction of adapted solutions, both technical, organisational and human.
Psychology
Psychology sheds light on what sustains (or weakens) the human dimension, particularly behaviours, emotions and human relationships, through the notions of cooperation, communication, leadership, management, conflict management, engagement, and the associated cognitive processes. It helps to understand the collective and managerial dynamics that determine the success of a project: ownership, transformation of practices, sustainability over time, and quality of dialogue between stakeholders.
The intended result
Lasting improvements: reduction of irritants and risks, more suitable tools and resources, a smoother collective, and an organisation capable of absorbing variability without impacting health, performance, and safety.
